I want to buy the Ford EcoSport Automatic and will be using the vehicle for long distance driving. I wish to know whether the vehicle is comfortable for long drives; for example, would the passengers be exhausted after a 350 kms nonstop drive? Also, I want to know how comfortable are the seats in the EcoSport and can they cause back pains during long drives? Finally, I also want to know if it is worth waiting for the 2017 EcoSport variant and will it offer features like cruise control, auto folding ORVMs etc.?

Ford EcoSport is a good and comfortable car even for longer drives. Whether or not the passengers get tired during a long drive depends a lot on them as well as the driver and the roads. If the driver drives well and the roads are smooth, chances are that the passengers would be comfortable all throughout. Therefore, this is a very subjective matter.
Coming to your second question as to whether the seats are comfortable and can they cause a back pain; again I would like to point out that this will also depend a lot on the driving skills as well as the conditions of the roads. However, that being said, the seats of EcoSport are quite comfortable and there is ample of space for the passengers in the rear seats as well. The rear seats do recline which offers additional comfort. However, the seating capacity is best suited for two adults in the rear especially when you’re going on longer drives.
Finally, the new Ford EcoSport 2017 should feature a multi-functional steering wheel along with a new centre console and music system. Color touchscreen is also expected in this facelift. In other words, the interior changes planned for this vehicle include a lot of changes. On the outside as well we can expect new headlights and fog lights along with a new grille and cover for spare wheel etc. However, it is still not clear as to whether the new facelift will feature a cruise control or not and as for the auto adjustable ORVMs, the car already offers that in the Automatic as well as few other manual variants as well.
