Ford Figo is a very good car and in comparison of Hyundai Grand i10, former is a very tough competitor. In terms of mileage, diesel Figo delivers 19kmpl whereas Hyundai Grand i10 also delivers the same. If we compare the petrol variants, Figo and Grand i10, both deliver 18kmpl or so. As for the resale value, these days all cars are almost at the same level and the value is determined by the condition of the car and kms it has covered etc. Thus, whether it is Ford Figo or Hyundai i10, both can draw you a good amount or not. Also, Ford cars are generally considered not good for second hand because their servicing as well as spare parts are slightly more expensive.
If we consider that you drive the car around 400kms a month, it is better that you get a petrol car because your running is quite low. Thus, your car will not go for servicing at regular intervals and in this situation, maintaining a diesel tends to get more difficult.
