The mileage of my new Ford Figo is not up to the mark. With AC, the mileage is around 12kmpl and without it, it is around 13.5kmpl. Any suggestions about how to improve the car’s efficiency?

The company claimed mileage of Ford Figo petrol version is 18.16 kmpl but that is calculated in ideal situations. Thus, it definitely varies from what the vehicle delivers in actuality. You can test your vehicle on empty highways and calculate the mileage with less of braking and gear changing etc. While performing these tests however, please maintain your discretion and use all necessary safety. If after a run on the highway as well, you’re getting a low mileage then maybe you should get your engine checked. Although, do take into account that when stuck in traffic or a red light, the car’s engine is on and it does consumer fuel which does reflect on the economy of the car as well.
