Honda Amaze Overview

Honda has launched the all-new Amaze in India in the highly competitive compact sedan segment. Unveiled at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo for the first time, the compact sedan boasts a completely new design inspired by the bigger sedans from the Japanese brand. Also, it gets a refreshed styling and features inside the cabin along with wide range of advanced safety features. Not only that, the car gets CVT with both petrol and diesel engines making this one of the most desirable car in the segment.
Apart from the styling and updated new features, the paddle shifter and improved performance have made the sedan much more appealing. What’s more interesting about the all-new 2018 Honda Amaze is, the sedan comes priced aggressively between Rs 5.59 lakh and Rs 6.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India). This is Honda’s first car in India to get a pan-India ex-showroom pricing.Honda Amaze Overview

Speaking about the exterior, the 2018 Honda Amaze comes with a completely redesigned appearance compared to the old model. It gets a flat and muscular looking front fascia with sharp headlamps featuring integrated LED positioning lights. There is a thick and wide chrome bar and bold bumper with black housing boasting the fog lamps.
At the side profile too, the boxy look of the front fascia is visible and it comes with sporty alloy wheels, body coloured door handles, large glass area, LED turn indicator integrated ORVMs. Moving to the back, the taillights get a C shaped look inspired from the tenth generation Honda Civic sedan. A muscular bumper is also there, while the boot-lid gets a slightly protruding lip spoiler like part.Honda Amaze Exterior

New Honda Amaze comes with a restyled cabin compared to the previous model. It gets multifunction steering wheel, large instrument cluster with analog dials and a digital MID. There is a touchscreen infotainment system with tab-like appearance and it boasts Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
In terms of space and comfort, the new Honda Amaze comes as an impressive car. The rear occupants get ample leg space and headroom along with the comfort of rear AC vents. A black and beige colour scheme inside the cabin adds visual appeal to the car.Honda Amaze Interior

Honda Amaze Engine & Transmission

New Honda Amaze is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. These include 1.2-litre iVTEC petrol engine and a 1.5-litre iDTEC diesel motor. Transmission options for the sedan include both 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT with paddle shifter.
The petrol engine is capable of churning out 89 bhp of peak power at 6,000 rpm and 110 Nm of peak torque at 4,800 rpm. On the other hand, the diesel motor is capable of generating 99 bhp of peak power at 99 bhp of peak power at 3,600 rpm and 200 Nm of peak torque at 1,750 rpm. The petrol manual variant of the new Amaze generates 19.5 kmpl of mileage, while the petrol CVT model generates 19 kmpl. On the other hand, the diesel manual variant offers 27.4 kmpl of fuel efficiency, while the diesel CVT generates 23.4 kmpl.

Honda Amaze Braking and Safety

The new Honda Amaze gets several safety features that include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, child seat anchor points and seatbelt warning. The structure itself is capable of absorbing impact offering better protection to the occupants.
