Honda Brio comes with a 1.2L (1198cc displacement) petrol engine with 4-cylinder petrol engine with 88 PS power and 109 Nm torque fuel injection BS4 engine. Honda brio comes in lot of different versions almost 8 models, with manual as well as automatic transmission. It has a compression ratio of 10:2:1 and engine has been installed at the front in longitudinal position. It gives a mileage of 15 KMPL in cities and 18 KMPL over the highways. The ARAI certified mileage of BRIO is 18.9 KMPL.

I am not agreeing with the above answer in terms of mileage. It looks more like a document based mileage. I am a BRIO owner from last 2 years, and in spite of a good 1.2L engine with good power of 88 PS and 109 Nm torque, which is not a very powerful engine to drink more petrol, but in reality it does drink petrol. The Brio I have gives 10 KMPL in the city with AC running and 14 without AC as well as 14 with AC on Highways and without running AC it gives a mileage of 16 KMPL.

I am also agreeing with the mileage of Honda BRIO it never goes more than 16 without AC even on highways. Anyway I don’t have any issues with the engine. Because of small size it is quite easier to drive and handle. My Brio is having a 1.2L petrol engine which is situated in the front and installed longitudinally, with 88 PS power and 109Nm torque, which is able to take the vehicle up to a speed of 150 KMPL. It is not as good with mileage as expected but rest is good.

Agree with all the answers above, Honda brio I have is the top model Automatic one and it is ok from everywhere. I have two concerns with it; first it has been over priced and second is its mileage is not equal to what has been agreed by Honda. Every time I go to service center, I always ask to do something with the mileage but it is always the same. The engine is fuel sucker. I am thinking again about my decision, certainly going to sell it ASAP.
