Hello Deepak Goel !!
Its very tough to select between Honda City and Verna Fluidic. The reason being both have very good styling and interiors are also of best quality. Hyundai Verna comes in 1.4L and 1.6L versions and Honda City in 1.5L version. Comparatively Honda City has better combination of performance, styling and price tag too. Hyundai Verna 1.4L version costs slightly lesser than Honda City and 1.6L version costs much higher than Honda City. To select one, if price is not a constraint then Hyundai Verna makes best selection and for fair combination of price and Styling, features, Honda City would be better.
Comparison between i DTec VX Option (Diesel) of Honda and 1.6 CRDi AT SX (Diesel) of Hyundai will be made here in order to clear all the confusions about Venna and Honda City. There are slight dimensional distinctions between the two vehicles. For instance, while the height of Honda City is 4440mm, that of Versa is 4375mm. Again, the width of Honda City is 1695mm and that of Versa is 1700mm. Likewise, while the height of Honda City is 1495mm, that of Versa is 1475mm. Thus, even though you get greater height when you buy Versa, but you have to compromise on the length and width. However, the ground clearance of both Honda City and Hyundai Versa is almost the same. Again, while Honda gives a warranty distance of 40000 kilometers on Honda City, the warranty distance of Hyundai on Hyundai Versa is unlimited kilometers.
There are differences in the engine performance and suspension between Honda City and Hyundai Versa. For instance, if you compare between I VTEC V petrol version of Honda City with that of 1.4 VTVT petrol version, the Hyundai 4S Fluidic Verna then you will find that while the fuel tank capacity of Honda City is 40 liters, that of Verna is 43 liters. Although both the cars have manual transmission, the engine displacement of Honda City and Verna are 1497 cc and 1396 cc respectively. While Honda City comes with 1.5-litre 117.3bhp 16V i VTEC Engine, Verna features 1.4-litre 105.5bhp 16V VTVT Petrol Engine. The maximum power and torque of Honda City are 117.3bhp@6600rpm and 145Nm@4600rpm respectively. On the contrary, the power and torque of Versa are 105.5bhp@6300rpm and 135.3Nm@5000rpm respectively. While Honda City comes with four SOHC valves per cylinder, Versa features four DOHC valves per cylinder. Honda City comes with PGM-Fi fuel supply system and Verna has MPFI. The bore and stroke dimension of Honda City and Hyundai Verna are 73.0 X 89.4 mm and 77.0mm X85.44mm respectively. Likewise, the compression ratio of Honda City is 10.3:1 and that of Verna is 10.5:1. Even though both the vehicles have McPherson Strut front suspension, the rear suspension of Honda City and Verna are Torsion Beam Axle and Coupled Torsion Beam respectively. Although Verna comes with gas based shock absorbers, this feature is absent in case of Honda City. Therefore, you have to analyse some of these specifications in order to judge which will be the ideal car for you.
