Please suggest a car with automatic / manual transmission for city. Also tell difference between automatic and manual. Which is better - petrol or diesel.

If you should go for a petrol or diesel car is something that's your average daily running would decide. If you would do about 50-60 kms on an average daily, a diesel might make more sense in this case. If it would be somewhat less say 15-20 km, you should in that case perhaps take the petrol. It's better to take the automatic if you would be driving the car mostly in the city, since would be greatly convenient. Another reason to go for automatic is because they are as efficient as the manual variants nowadays, regardless of the underlying technology (DSG, AMT, Hydraulic AT, CVT) that they are using. In my view, Celerio is a good entry level automatic car. You can also perhaps take a look at Bolt which offers automatic option with a diesel engine.
