Year of Manufacture : 2014 | Driven no. of Kms. : 5000
- Pros: looks
- Cons: engine
I purchased a new Honda City i-Dtec this january and in 6 months there was all praise for the car, the looks, features, interiors and all. But in june when it rained, and it rained a little only, I drove through a water puddle 3 or 4 inches deep and my car got stuck there. It had a hydrostatic lock i.e. the water entered the cylinder of the engine and a white smoke came out. After hours of calls and all I left it there and brought a tow truck to get it out. The different mechanics and the service centre people are giving me a budget of rs. 2.5 lacs. And they also advised me not to drive in rain. What the hell I have bought the car for?? Guys it is a great problem in honda models, city and amaze, don't buy these because you will definitely face the problem and these faults are not even guaranteed and does not come under insurance cover. It is a great pain to own it.
