Honda Civic PreviewThe Honda Civic had gained huge popularity in the Indian car market with its awesome performance, styling, high reliability and the Honda service back-up. This has been discontinued for more than a decade, but the advent of entirely new design concept for Honda Amaze, Brio, and new Honda City is demanding change in the design of Civic as well. The Honda Cars in India will soon launch the 10th generation Honda Civic in India, giving a grand re-entry to the legendary car.
The new Honda Civic 2016 looks dynamic with the bold styling of the radiator grille, LED daytime running lights in the headlamp assembly, LED inserts in the front bumper and the stylish LED tail lamps. The interior features will include a stylish 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, sports seats with good lumbar and thigh support, height-adjustable driver seat, updated interior trims, and utility features for enhanced comfort of the passengers. The infotainment system will have a touchscreen display, a navigation system, music system and smartphone integration with controls on the steering. A lot more features will be on offer, like stylish alloy wheels, indicators on the electrically-foldable outer rearview mirrors and integrated rear spoiler, and the availability of different variants will widen the choices for the customers.
Expected Engine and Transmission
The New Honda Civic 2016 will be available in both petrol and diesel versions. The Honda Civic Petrol will have a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine delivering a power output of 174 PS and torque of 220 Nm. The diesel version is expected to be featuring a 1.4 iDTEC engine with improved performance factors. Honda Civic variants will be available in both manual and automatic transmission versions with paddle shift for smooth variation of speed and torques.
The Honda Civic mileage can be expected around 15 kmpl for the petrol version and 20 kmpl on average for the diesel version. The actual mileage can vary depending upon the performance factors and country-specific design of the car.
The Honda Civic 2016 price can be expected at around Rs. 15 to 18 lakh for the manual transmission versions and the automatic transmission version would cost around Rs. 20 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
