Honda CR-V Facelift
Expected Price:21.00 – 25.00 Lakh
Expected Launch Date: Apr 2017 - Jun 2017
Honda CR-V Facelift PreviewThe facelifted CR-V crossover from Honda was exhibited at the Bangkok Motor Show earlier this year. Expected to undergo styling changes on the outside, the new generation Honda CR-V is likely to get comprehensive tweaks in front. An aggressive looking solid wing face grille could flank the captivating head lights featuring integrated LED daytime running lights. Changes are expected to be made to the rear profile, a restyled tail gate and a broad chrome strip could ornate rear. Do not expect major revisions on the inside, just a couple of additional gizmos like an all new 7 inch multimedia infotainment system with HDMI, lane change assist system and a three-angle reverse parking camera could be placed.
Engine & TransmissionPower generation will be supposedly done by the same 2.0 litre and 2.4 litre, four pot i-VTEC petrol engines performing respective duties in the pre-facelift version. The 2.0 litre motor will be offered on the entry level variants while the high displacement 2.5 litre motor willpower high end grades. Also a CVT could be paired to the 2.4 litre engine, replacing the five-speed AT. Along with a forward drive variant, Honda is likely to spin an all wheel drive variant of the crossover. If at all Honda brings diesel variant of the crossover, it could get a 1.6 litre i-DTEC diesel motor outputting 118 Bhp. Rumours also suggest that a nine-speed automatic transmission could be coupled to the diesel trim.
Expected MileageSince the engine will be retained, hence there will be no change in the fuel economy.
Expected PriceHonda will bring CR-V through CKD route, and hence pricing is likely to be competitive. Hypothetical price being speculated for the upcoming CR-V ranges between Rs 21 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.
Expected launch dateHonda India is supposed to unleash CR-V facelift this April to June 2017.
