Honda Jazz Facelift Preview

The Honda Jazz has a marvellous reputation of a premium hatchback with dynamic styling and comfort features. The Honda Jazz facelift model would be featuring new LED headlamps, a front grille with surrounding chrome finishing and a new set of alloy wheels for the exteriors. The interiors will have new upholstery, and fit and finish for the trims, dashboard and door panels. The safety features and the equipment on offer would be at par with the existing variants, and a new set of body paints could be offered, giving it a refreshing on the road image.

The Honda Jazz Facelift exteriors would be given slight modifications in the body panel contours and styling features. The exteriors will have a new front grille with chrome surrounds and new LED headlamps with daytime running lights. The standard features of electrically-foldable ORVMs, LED tail lamps and chrome garnish for the tailgate would be continued in this model as well. The alloy wheels with R15 size in new design and the new rear spoiler would be introduced for the facelift model.

The Honda Jazz Facelift interiors will be upgraded with new trims and finishing, and new upholstery for the seats. The auto AC with touchscreen control panel, paddle shift mechanism for the CVT transmission version and driver seat height adjuster would be seen in this model as well. The facelift version would also feature steering-mounted audio controls, advanced multi-information combination meter with LCD display with shift position indicator for the CVT version. The infotainment system would be upgraded with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the new GPS-guided satellite-guided navigation system.

Honda Jazz Facelift Engine & Transmission

The upgraded Honda Jazz Facelift specifications would be available in both petrol and diesel versions. The petrol version would be powered by a 1199 cc SOHC i-VTEC engine delivering the power of 90 PS at 6000 rpm and torque of 110 Nm at 4800 rpm. The diesel version will have a 4-cylinder 1498 cc engine delivering the power of 100 PS at 3600 rpm and torque of 200 Nm at 1750 rpm. The petrol version would be available with 5-speed manual transmission and Continuously Variable Transmission System versions. The diesel engine variants would be having the 6-speed manual transmission with the drive connected to the front wheels.

Honda Jazz Facelift Mileage

The Honda Jazz Facelift mileage can be expected to be around 18.7 kmpl for the petrol version with manual transmission and 19 kmpl for the CVT transmission version. The diesel variant would be able to deliver a maximum mileage of 27.3 kmpl as in the existing model. As there won’t be many changes in technical aspects, the fuel economy factors could be expected to be the same.

The Honda Jazz braking system will have disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The ABS with EBD would be featured in the diesel model and CVT transmission version of the petrol model. The safety feature of airbags at the front for the driver and co-passenger would be featured as a standard. The front fog lamps, rear parking camera, driver side window one touch up/down and rear windshield defogger would be continued in the facelift model.

Honda Jazz Facelift Performance and Handling

The performance of Honda Jazz can be expected to be at par with the existing model as there won’t be a lot of changes in specifications. However, with the improved body styling with aerodynamic contours and the excellent steering characteristic, the new version would enable for easier negotiations in the high traffic density zones and safe handling at high speeds. The suspension system with McPherson strut with coil spring at the front and torsion beam axle with coil spring at the rear would be continued in the upcoming model, assuring a comfortable driving experience over long drives.
