Which car is better between Honda Jazz SV diesel and Maruti Swift Dzire ZDi?
By: Yogeshwaran on 5 august 2016
Honda Jazz is powered by a 1498cc engine producing a power of 98 bhp at 3600 rpm with a mileage of 27.3 kmpl whereas the Maruti Swift Dzire is powered by a 1248cc engine that produces 74 bhp at 4000rpm with a mileage of 26.59 kmpl. Honda is offering 6 forward gears plus a reverse gear for its Jazz whereas Maruti Swift Dzire has 5 forward gears only. Talking about the features of these vehicles; Maruti Swift Dzire ZDi is equipped with automatic climate control, keyless start button and speed sensing door lock etc. which are not available in Honda Jazz. Both these vehicles have the same safety features and they offer ABS, EBD and dual frontal airbags. Honda additionally has a reverse camera as well as display of instantaneous fuel consumption which are missing in the Maruti Dzire. Honda also has a higher boot space of 354 litres which is much higher than that of Dzire which is at 316 litres.
In my opinion one should go in for the Honda Jazz as it has everything a person really wants in their car along with a sporty look and design. The guarantee of Honda is another advantage of the Honda Jazz. Dzire on the other hand lacks quite a few things including the finesse but the only aspect where it takes away the cake is its long term mileage and easy cost of running.
