    The 1.4-litre CRDi turbocharged engine is the same unit that also powers the Hyundai i20. Its 89 bhp output may seem insufficient for a big vehicle like the Creta, but it produces sufficient torque and performance is actually not bad. The power delivery of Creta 1.4 is not as linear as on the Creta 1.6. The engine 1.4 CRDI feels a bit sluggish in comparison to Creta 1.6 especially on the hilly areas but it is very practical in city traffic conditions and once you hit the mid-range, the strong pulling performance is very much evident.
