Hyundai Creta 2018 Preview

Hyundai Creta was an instant hit from the time it was launched in 2015 and set a new benchmark in the compact SUV segment. Hyundai is all set to launch the upgraded version of Creta Facelift 2017 with refreshing styling and comfort features. The exteriors will have new dual-tone paint options, and the interiors will be upgraded with advanced infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in the top variants. The advanced safety features of side and curtain airbags and vehicle stability control features can be expected in top variants. Dual airbags and ABS with EBD would be featured as a standard.

Hyundai Creta 2018 Exterior

The Hyundai Creta Facelift 2017 exteriors are expected to have the same design and dimensional features. However, the exterior will get dual-tone paint options in combinations of white and black, and red and black, with a sporty black spoiler adding to the dynamic stance created. The Bi-functional projector headlamps with LED positioning lamps and a triple slat chrome radiator grille would be featured for the front profile. The sporty front and rear skid plates for the exteriors are expected to be continued in the upcoming model as well.

The Hyundai Creta Facelift interiors are expected to be upgraded with new upholstery, new trims and accessories for improving the ‘feel good’ factor of the occupants. Hyundai is expected to introduce the infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and mirror link compatibility, along with built-in Arkayms Sound Mood. The comfort features of automatic air conditioning with rear AC vents, front console armrest with storage and rear center armrest with cup holders would be available. The driver seat with height adjust feature and 60:40 split rear seat in top variants are expected to be continued.

Hyundai Creta 2018 Engine & Transmission

The Hyundai Creta Facelift 2017 specifications will have 3 engine options: 1591 cc 4-cylinder VTVT petrol engine delivering power of 123 PS at 6,400 rpm and torque of 150 Nm at 4,850; 1396 cc CRDi engine delivering power of 90 PS at 4000 rpm and torque of 220 Nm in the range of 1500-2700 rpm; and 1582 cc CRDi diesel engine with VGT delivering power of 128 PS at 4000 rpm and torque of 260 Nm at 1900-2750 rpm. The transmission system will be available in 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission versions.

Hyundai Creta 2018 Mileage

The Hyundai Creta 2017 Facelift mileage would range at 15.9 kmpl for the 1.6 petrol version, 21.38 kmpl for the 1.4 diesel version and 19.6 kmpl for the 1.6 diesel version. The mileage factors would remain the same as in the earlier version as not much mechanical changes would be done in the upcoming model.

Hyundai Creta 2018 Braking and Safety

The Hyundai Creta 2017 features would include disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution would be featured as a standard in all variants, enhancing the braking effect in wet and slippery conditions. All the Hyundai Creta Facelift 2017 variants are expected to have safety features of driver and co-passenger airbags, and the top variants would have side and curtain airbags.

Hyundai Creta 2018 Performance and Handling

The Hyundai Creta Facelift 2017 won’t have much change in the engine performance and vehicle dynamics, and hence the excellent track of proven performance of the Creta can be expected from the upgraded version as well. The suspension system will have McPherson strut with coil spring at the front and coupled torsion beam axle with coil spring at the rear. The advanced features of vehicle stability control, vehicle stability management, and hill-start assist and control would be featured in the top variants.
