The Hyundai Creta is a very efficient and a good car therefore whether you go in for a diesel automatic or petrol automatic; it’s just a matter of preference. In terms of features, both the cars are the same. The difference that comes between the cars is in terms of mileage and price of the two variants. The company claimed mileage of the petrol automatic variant is 15.29kmpl and the diesel automatic delivers 17.01kms per litre. The petrol automatic is available at Rs. 12.87 lakhs and the diesel automatic is priced at Rs. 14.50 lakhs (ex-showroom prices at New Delhi).
Your choice between diesel and petrol basically will depend on the distance that the car is driven for every day. If your monthly usage is less than 1500kms then I would recommend the petrol version and if it is more than 1500kms per month then you should definitely go in for the diesel version of the vehicle. This is because though the diesel car is more expensive but the fuel is cheaper and the mileage is more than what petrol variant offers therefore you end up saving money in the longer run but if your daily driving distance isn’t much then there is no point in spending the extra money over the diesel car because it requires slightly more maintenance as well and thus, for the economy of the car to be in favour in the longer run you should do these calculations and basis this take a decision.
