Choosing one car out here is very difficult considering all of them are good in their own right. And there are multiple parameters that judge what could be better for you. Here’s what I think could be your decision influencers about your car choice.

Talking about Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, it is a decent all-rounder. With Ciaz you have the benefit of Maruti's vast service network. It's a spacious and comes with pretty nice interiors too. However, it is not performance oriented and is best used as a comfortable sedan to get from one point to another.

Honda City trumps the other two when it comes to comfort and ergonomics inside the cabin. The ride and handling balance of this car is also very impressive.

Talking about Skoda Rapid, in my opinion it is a good highway performer among three, the high speed stability of Rapid is better than Ciaz and City. Skoda cars can be relied upon for their excellent built quality. However, Skoda dealer and after-sales service network isn’t as widespread or reliable as Maruti Suzuki and Honda.

If you are looking for mileage, the Ciaz Hybrid is currently the India’s most fuel efficient diesel car with a claimed mileage of nearly 28 kmpl. In real world conditions too, you easily get around 24 kmpl with the Ciaz, while the 1.5 liter engine of Honda City and Skoda Rapid would give you around 21 kmpl and 17 kmpl respectively.

As for maintenance cost, Maruti Suzuki and Honda cars have relatively lower maintenance costs and better resale value than Skoda.

Final verdict — Depending on your usage on priority you must decide which car wins in which department. Although my personal suggestion will be Ciaz because it has ticked a lot of boxes for buyers with its mileage, comfort, pleasant design and value for money.. Though all three are excellent cars and one can’t go wrong with any of the cars.
