What are the differencees between 1.6 S MT and 1.6 SX MT variants of Elantra?

The difference between the S and SX models of the diesel powered Elantra lies inside the car. There is a difference of more than ?1 lac and that is due to the SX version has more to show off. Its cabin gets genuine leather upholstery, cigarette lighter with an ash tray and lumbar support system for the driver seat. From the safety point of view the SX version additionally has an electronic stability program, automatic headlamps and Cruise control system.
On comparing the two petrol run trims, S MT and SX MT we find that SX is of a higher variant and costs more – Rs.15.8 lakhs compared to Rs.14.5 lakhs (Ex Showroom, Delhi) and possesses better interior features like leather seats (fabric ones in S MT), lumbar support, cruise control, electrically adjustable seats at the front, and a touchscreen based infotainment system.
Although the trims, S MT and SX MT (diesel run) are similar in most of the aspects of looks, interior, engine, safety measures, mileage and acceleration, there are a few differences. SX costs Rs. 17.1 lakhs as against Rs. 15.8 lakhs of S MT. Besides leatherette seats with lumbar support in the cabin, the safety features for SX counts front side airbag, a vehicle stability control system, and automatic headlamps among the additional ones.
