Can I change the 800cc engine in my Eon to 1000cc engine? Will there be any issue with that?

The space would be sufficient to house the 1000cc engine, however, the mounting points may not be the same. It may not be an easy affair. You might want to get inputs from the company dealer / service advisor before deciding to do this.
The Changing of engine capacity might be a risky job to be done from after sales market as it may change the overall layout of the vehicle. Inside the hood the space may be present for a bigger engine but the mounting points and connectors might be different and pose a serious problem if not changed accordingly, thus you might want to contact the dealer and talk to him about the new bigger engine. Changing the engine can also put load on the frame and chassis of the car and produce more vibrations and an uneasy ride.

I wish to buy a Hyundai Eon. Should I get a new model of the Eon that is available with an 800cc engine or a second hand Hyundai Eon Sportz which has a 1litre engine? Is there a problem with the 1litre Eon?
