What are the differencees between Grand i10 and the previous i10?
By: Dev on 17 april 2015
The Grand i10 is an upgraded version of the i10 hatchback in every sense. It is wider, longer and taller, has roof rails, new hexagonal grille and revised headlamps, side lines and an all new fluidic design. Inside too there are new black and beige interiors, and as always Hyundai has maintained the reputation for offering segment first features like reverse parking sensor, driver seat lumbar support and climate control. However the main difference is a new 1.1L diesel engine!

The grand i10 is better than the conventional i10 in many ways; features have been kept more or less same. I am agreeing with the above answer which is talking about features and upgraded engine. Having a diesel engine is the best part of it. In a country like India vehicles running on economical fuel are in demand as India is a developing country. I own a diesel version and I love the way it has been upgraded from its sibling id i10.
I am agreeing with the above statements also to add into that I will talk about the exterior and interior. The new Hyundai grand i10 is having a modern look with comparison to old i10. I know some old i10 lovers they still like the old model but new models comes with small modifications, bigger chrome grill, body colored door handles, longer dimensions and advancement in the engine capacity with more power and torque. Just new grand i10 remained back in mileage.
I have similar thoughts like above three answers, but I am an old i10 lover, I like the way it is. Old i10 is small in size and handling is very good even t delivers better mileage also. I know about the grand i10, the ARAI mileage is not matching the actual mileage test results, it is having lesser mileage than the old i10, also I like the old design of i10, and the exterior is having a magnificent look altogether. I have driven the old i10 almost for three years and very happy with its performance just Hyundai should make their cars sturdier as we can’t let a car take our safety for granted, no i10 passed the crash test and I am disappointed with it.
The old i10 is not having a diesel engine whereas the grand i10 have diesel version available. This is one major change from old i10 to the grand i10. Additionally old i10 was lacking in automatic transmission which has been taken care in case of grand i10. The engine capacity has been raise for petrol version from 1086cc to 1197cc for sportz petrol version. Old i10 is better on mileage with its 19 kmpl whereas grand i10 is having 18 KMPL mileages. We can see a significant change in power from 68 PS to 81 PS and torque from 99 Nm to 114 Nm.
