Hello Navneet Shah !!
Hyundai i20 Active is not available in automatic transmission version. Hyundai Motors India has not confirmed about launch of automatic transmission version of the same. We will update the same with detailed reviews as and when it is launched.
Hyundai i20 Active is a crossover vehicle that allows the riders to enjoy the roomy atmosphere of an SUV in a car. The company has launched this car in both petrol and diesel options. Unfortunately, none of the trims of this model are equipped with an automatic transmission option. The petrol variants of this model are powered by a 1.2-litre, Kappa 5 engine that is mated to an 5 speed manual transmission gearbox, whereas in the diesel variants, the 1.4 litre second generation diesel engine is mated to a six speed manual transmission gearbox.
As mentioned earlier, the Hyundai i20 Active does not come with any automatic transmission gearbox in any of its trims. The petrol engine is coupled with a 5 speed manual gearbox and the second generation gearbox is attached to a six speed gearbox. Both the automatic and the manual gearbox have their advantages. While the automatic gearbox allows the car to change the gear on its own with the change in RPM therefore allowing the driver to concentrate fully on the road. The manual gearbox on the other hand gives more control in the hand of the driver.
No, automatic version of Hyundai i20 is not available. It is available in both petrol and diesel variants. These variants are equipped with manual transmission. Petrol variant comes with a five-speed manual transmission gearbox which offers a high acceleration power for a smooth driving and diesel variant comes with six-speed manual transmission gearbox which gives a good mileage. Hyundai has not confirmed to launch the automatic transmission of i20 Active but it is eagerly awaited. We will keep you updated always.
The Hyundai i20 Active does not have an option of automatic transmission option. In both the petrol as well as diesel versions there is automatic transmission option. The petrol engine model of the Hyundai i20 Active has a 5 speed manual transmission gearbox whereas in the diesel engine variant has 6 speed manual transmission gearbox. The unique crossover is supported by stylish looks and comfort seating giving good mileage and acceleration.
The Hyundai Active i20 is marketed as a middle class hatchback with the mindset of a SUV. The Hyundai Active i20 has got some unique modifications from earlier i20 Elite with better maneuverability, suspension, engine and better performing gearbox and its certainly better than the best. But it’s not going to be launched in automatic transmission in the near future. With the all-new 6 speed transmission, it stands at the top of the pile of crossovers as it gives it the edge over its competitors but the decision of not launching an automatic version may cause loyalists to switch sides.
