Hello Prem !!
As per sources Hyundai, the Korean auto giant, is ready to launch its all new compact SUV, Creta, on the 21st of July. Previously known as ix25 in the country, the car went through a name-change exercise and is now called ‘Creta’ – a derivative from ‘creative’. The same moniker will be used in global markets as well. Hyundai’s Creta is based on the already launched ix25 in China last year and barring the name, everything else is similar in the car. Hyundai Creta compact SUV is expected to be priced in between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 12 lakh and because of 90% localization, it will surely be a less expensive affair for the buyers as compared to the other SUVs present in market today.
The upcoming SUV Hyundai Creta is expected to share most of the design and mechanism from the bigger sibling Santa Fe. It gracefully embraces the Fluidic 2.0 design philosophy of the company. Now coming to the dimensions of the car, it measures 4270mm in length, 1780mm in width, 1630mm in height and 2590mm wheelbase. Under the hood, the new Creta SUV will most likely to incorporate three engines of Verna, giving the customers various options to select from. The engine options are 1.4 liter/1.6 liter diesel and 1.6 litre petrol. The former two can deliver 88.7bhp/219Nm and 126bhp/260Nm of power and torque while the latter which is the petrol mill, would be able to return 121bhp of power and 155Nm of maximum torque. Hyundai Creta is expected to offer both the manual as well as automatic transmission gearbox in the coming SUV.

Hyundai i20 Active seems to be a miss categorized car by Hyundai so they are planning to change its name from i20 Active to creta, which is coming in the automatic transmission option July 2015. The vehicle comes in to two choices of petrol 1.6 dual VTVT and U2 1.6 CRDI VGT diesel engine. The petrol engine offers a power of 123 PS and the diesel version offers a power of 128 PS. For the first time Hyundai will be offering an automatic transmission option in its creta.
I am agreeing with the above review, Hyundai is getting a SUV version of its descendent i20 active with lot of new features in it. Creta is a hybrid car with the automatic transmission for the first time in any diesel engine. Hyundai is the first one to have such functionality into their car. It is different from its previous version i20 active, which was lacking in terms of automatic transmission ha been taken care of with a super specialty. I am waiting eagerly for the new Creta.
I am agreeing too, Hyundai has decided to take a good action in terms of complement refurbishment instead of adding new features in to the existing model. The i20 Active is getting a new Avatar in the name of Hyundai Creta. It has a better engine which is capable of producing better power, interior and exterior as well as an automatic transmission option with diesel engine, wow. I will buy one for sure, it’s a unique idea developed by Hyundai.
I am partially agree with above statements, and everybody is taking it generously, The Automatic transmission in diesel engine is getting viral but it might be a failure as well because no other company has attempted it yet. Generally I don’t have idea why companies are not looking for an automatic transmission in SUV’s, because SUV’s are getting very popular now a days. I want to see how peoples are reacting on the new model in terms of performance and safety.
I do agree with reviews above and happy to see a diesel SUV getting automatic transmission which has been in to luxury segment only. It is well equipped with automatic transmission and lot of other features to this SUV like Audio video navigation system and touch screen audio system, smart push to start button, Electronic OVRM, rear ac vents, steering mounted controls, dual airbags, ABS, ESC, HAC, and VSM etc. It’s a feature packed car.
There is no news from the official sources as to when the automatic gear version of the Hyundai i20 Active will be released. However, we assume that it could be in the coming months, if Hyundai has to compete effectively with its rivals in the market. An automatic variant is very useful for the new learners as it does not require constant driving attention to change the gear. For this same reason, it is very useful thing in a heavy traffic.
