I own a Hyundai i20 Asta 1.4 CRDi, will it be good thing to replace old drum brakes and install ventilated disc brakes in its place.

While there is no limit to which you can go and modify the car, but whether you should do it or not is something that depends upon - Why of it and the reliability of modification. The standard drum brakes hold good and have enough stopping power so there's no reason to modify them unless you want to look cool or have installed a bigger engine with more power that also as a result needs better stopping power. However, I would leave it upto you the reason for which you have considered changing the drum to discs. I think, you should go ahead with the modification only if you believe you can carry out the modification and that too reliably or someone who can do this job reliably. The cost can go upto 20,000 or so.
