The major differences between both variants of Hyundai i20 are their exterior looks. The Active SX is quite bold and sporty whereas the Elite i20 is much mellow in comparison. The price of Hyundai i20 Active 1.2 SX is around Rs 8.16 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi) which is slightly higher than that of the Elite i20 Asta 1.2 (O) which is priced at Rs 7.58 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The engine in both these vehicles is exactly the same but the Asta variant has a better mileage of 18.6 kmpl against the 17.19 kmpl offered by Active 1.2 SX.
There are not many differences in these vehicles when we talk about the features. The Active i20 has electronically folding anti-glare mirrors whereas the Asta has the older manual system. Roof rails are present on the Active along with cladding body kit which is not present on the Asta. The Asta has better interiors with space for sunglass holder and driver armrest storage which are missing on-board the Active variant. Asta is also equipped with follow-me-home headlamps, analogue tachometer, GPS navigation system and projector with Xenon headlamps whereas the Active does not have any of these features.
In my opinion if one is looking for a better ground clearance vehicle, sporty new looks and style then one needs to go in for the Hyundai Active SX variant. If one is looking for better features and a city vehicle then one can go in for the Hyundai Elite i20 Asta variant.
