Hyundai 2020 Santro Facelift Preview

Hyundai Santro has received a good response since its launch. This is the third generation of the Santro that is on sale in India. Hyundai will be giving a mild refresh for 2020. The front and rear bumpers of the budget hatchback will be updated and there can be a new set of wheels. The graphics of the car can also get updated. The interior is expected to remain the same for the most part. The touchscreen infotainment system will continue to get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Braking duties will be handled by disc brakes upfront and drum brakes at the rear. We do not expect any mechanical changes to the Santro except the engine getting BS6 compliant. Hyundai is thinking about offering the automatic gearbox option in all the variants of the Santro. Currently, only the Sportz and Magna variants get the automatic transmission as an option. Hyundai Santro competitors are Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Tata Tiago and Renault Kwid.
Hyundai Santro facelift price is expected to start from around Rs. 4.5 lakh. Hyundai Santro specs will continue to offer the current 1.1-litre petrol engine that produces 69hp and a peak torque output of 99Nm. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT.
