Both the cars, Verna and City belongs to the very famous brands i.e. Hyundai and Honda and both are equally successful. Verna provides high power in comparison to City and in terms of safety and interior, City seems better than Verna. The new Honda City is longer and wider its body are not as spectacular as Verna’s which makes City look rather dull. For riding and handling dynamics, both cars gets equal points. Both Verna and City, are equally loved by car owners as both are trademark models of their companies.
Hyundai fluidic Verna is way ahead than the Honda city in almost every category, whether it is in engine, feature, safety, comfort or design. But again it is dependent on personal taste and preferences. There is a slight difference between the two and Verna seems to be leading in all the segments. Verna is far better in design and performance. The Honda city seems to be leading in the mileage as per ARAI but I can’t say in reality which one is having a better mileage.
The Hyundai Verna and Honda city are related to the same class but in popularity Honda city is leading. But the new fluidic Verna is almost better than Honda city in almost every aspect whether it is features or the performance or design. I love riding Verna and prefer it more than Honda city but that is my person preference. The another big difference between the two is Verna comes in automatic variant whereas Honda is coming in manual transmission only.
I am agreeing as well, I love cars with no or very less interaction, and automatic version of any car is my personal preference. So for me Honda city will be a bad choice as it is not having an automatic version. Coming down to the safety part Honda city is having only two airbags support in its top model whereas my Verna is having 6-airbags installed in to it. So for me also Verna is my choice.
Guys don’t just go over the specs and looks, look at the trusted Honda’s biggest selling model city, which has been a choice of millions of peoples. Honda’s bestselling car comes with a trust from Honda, along with the maintenance and support from the service network is best in case of Honda. Verna is also almost 40000 more costly than the city. So I will go with the reliability and awesome design from Honda and city will be my choice.
Man, do look at the price of manual variant of verna diesel, which is available on 30000 less than the Honda city, big mileage, big engine, better design and features and less on price also, so how come one choose the city over verna. You are almost getting everything bigger or updated than what Honda city is offering. Just being the best selling model cannot remain forever so if you are getting a better machine so don’t get stubborn on one specific model.
Hyundai Verna is available in two fuel options with 5-5 diesel and petrol variants. The petrol variants of this car fall in the price range of Rs. 9.5 to Rs. 12.8 Lakh while the petrol variants Rs. 8.1 to Rs. 10.6 Lakh. On the other hand, Honda City is available in 6 diesel and 8 petrol variants. The price range of the petrol variants starts from Rs. 7.9 Lakh to Rs. 12.0 Lakh and the diesel variants come in the price range of Rs. 9.2 to Rs. 12.5 Lakh.
Both the cars are very versatile and worth taking. If you are Looking for a solid performer with great mileage, good cabin as well as boot space and do not want to compromise on looks also, then your car is should be Honda city. And if you are looking for an aggressive performer with great pick, sporty looks and aesthetic interiors, then you should go for Hyundai Verna.
I would choose Honda City over Hyundai Verna because Honda City has better value for money. Honda City is a true winner when it comes to mileage. It provides best in class mileage of 26 km/litre with diesel variant and with petrol variant it provides 17.8 km/litre. Moreover Honda City comes with a 7 inch infotainment screen with satellite navigation. The power produced by Honda city is very competitive to its rival Hyundai Verna.
If you are looking for a petrol engine then you should opt for Honda City as it has more refined engine as compared to Hyundai’s Verna. The petrol variant of Honda City has a very efficient fuel economy of 18 km/litre on highways. And if your are eager to buy a diesel car then you should go for Hyundai’s Verna as Hyundai’s diesel engine is very much calm and silent as compared to that of Honda’s.
I would go with Honda City because it has great dynamics. The 1.5 litre 100 bhp 16V diesel engine is just fantastic. This engine musters a maximum power of 100 bhp at 3600 rpm and a peak torque of 200 Nm at 1800 rpm which according to me is enough for a like this. Apart from dynamics, Honda City provides best in class cabin space. The rear seat provides ample of legroom as well as thigh support.
For me Honda city will be a bad choice as it is not having an automatic version. Coming down to the safety part Honda city is having only two airbags support in its top model whereas the Verna is having 6-airbags installed in to it. So for me also Verna is my choice. I love riding Verna and prefer it more than Honda city but that is my person preference the new Honda City is longer and wider its body are not as spectacular as Verna’s which makes City look rather dull. For riding and handling dynamics, both cars get equal points.
