Which is a better car between Hyundai Fluidic Verna 2016 and Honda City?
By: Rachit on 24 march 2016
Hyundai Verna Fluidic is one of the best looking car in this segment and there are a lot of features that it comes fitted with. The suspension of the car is a little bouncy but the 1.6litre diesel engine is absolutely class leading with its 126bhp and 260Nm output. The ARAI claimed mileage is 23.9kmpl and the 1.4litre diesel engine is same as Hyundai i20 and delivers 89bhp of power with 220Nm of torque. The petrol 1.6 engine churns out 121.3bhp and the torque is 155Nm. The 1.4 petrol engine of Hyundai Verna delivers 105.5bhp and a torque of 135.3Nm. The car is perfect for city drives as well as highways equally. The 2016 is expected to get better equipment and also get better in terms of handling as well as ride.
Honda City is well known for its petrol engine and the CVT option that is available with it. It is considered to be an excellent overall package and is a typical city car which is an effortless drive. The iDTEC gets 6-speed gearbox and can deliver an ARAI mileage of 26kmpl. The iVTEC engine delivers 117bhp and a torque of 145Nm. The dynamics of the car are a little better than the Verna’s. The car is definitely noisier than the others but the comfort levels are unmatchable.
Among these two, the competition is very tough. You should test drive both and make a list of pros and cons before you take a call as to which one suits you better. In my opinion, just because it carries the Honda brand marquee, the City is a better pick because a Honda engine is as refined as it can be. Hyundai however is easy on pocket but then again, it’s just about what works best for you.
