Hyundai Xcent S 1.2 CRDi Description
Originally introduced in 2014, the Hyundai Xcent was met with a good response in the subcompact sedan segment. The car later received a major facelift in 2017, making it one among the best sedan cars priced at around Rs 5 lakhs for the base variant. It is a sedan version of the company’s Grand i10 hatchback and is offered with a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a much more efficient and torque-friendly 1.2-litre diesel engine. The interiors have a dual tone colour scheme of beige and black, while the high-end (SX and SX-O) variants also get a touchscreen infotainment system. In terms of safety, dual airbags are standard across variants with ABS available in high-end (SX and SX-O) variants. The car also comes with an automatic transmission option for the S variant called the S AT.
Hyundai Xcent S 1.2 CRDi ExteriorThe exteriors of the new Hyundai Xcent S Diesel are sharper than before. The hexagon-shaped chrome front grille covers the entire bumper and comes with horizontally placed slats. The Hyundai logo is placed on the top part of the grille. The headlamp clusters are sweptback in design and houses LED DRLs (daytime running lights) while the wraparound tail lights split on the bootlid. The front bumper is body coloured while the rear is well garnished in chrome. On the side profile, the door handles and the ORVMs (with turn indicators) are body coloured and the B-pillars are given a black treatment.

Moreover, there is an additional storage space as the front passenger seat’s back pocket.
Hyundai Xcent S 1.2 CRDi Engine & TransmissionThe all new Hyundai Xcent E+ Diesel is powered by a more powerful 1.2-litre U2 engine which makes a power of 74 bhp at 4,000 rpm and a torque of 190 Nm at just 1,750 to 2,250 rpm. The engine is coupled with a conventional 5-speed manual transmission gearbox which is a great option to have if you are more of a purist by preference.
