Why my Jaguar XF is indicating false open hood warning?

In my opinion, sensors might not be working properly. You can fix it yourself, first you would need to unlock its screws. Then stretch the spring out a tiny bit and put it back together. Remember the orientation of how you pulled it out! Just make sure you haven't stretched the spring too much. The switch will now have enough tension so it works again and clicks when pressed. You can double check by using an ohm meter on the two parallel connections so you get 100% open and 0% with switch pushed in(closed).
