    One of the most popular names in the automotive world, Kia Motors, is on the verge of launching a range of cars in the Indian market. The company has earned global acclaim for creating some of the finest cars in the world. Indian consumers have evolved over time and now look not only at value for money prospects but also cars that are feature rich and add to the style quotient. The South Korean car manufacturer is gearing up for several launches over the next two years in India and one of them is going to be Kia Cerato sedan.KIA Cerato Preview

    The KIA Cerato exterior is expected to come with a contemporary and stylish appearance. The front end, unarguably, will be the most eye-catching. Kia’s signature butterfly design black grille with chrome trim around will take the center stage. The projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights will look neat while the stylish fog lamps will give it elegance. The front bumper will get air dams at both ends, which will lend the car a sporty character. Coming to its side profile, the company will design it with character lines and body-coloured door handles. This sedan will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels and will come with integrated turn indicators on the ORVMs. The rear profile is expected to be highlighted with a beautiful wraparound tail lamp assembly, which will intrude nicely into the boot lid. This 5-seater sedan will sit on a 2,700 mm of wheelbase, and will measure 4,560 mm in length, 1,435 mm in width and 1,780 mm in height.     The KIA Cerato interior will have a premium appeal with solid materials and lots of comfort features. The dashboard will come with a simple and neat layout with a very prominent centre console housing. You will have more than enough legroom in the front and back, and a good amount of headroom too. The front seats will offer excellent support and will be well cushioned. The boot will also be very accommodating with 482 litre of capacity.
    The KIA Cerato features are expected to include modern-day features, like a multifunctional steering wheel, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, electric sunroof, front seat armrest with under storage, rear AC vents, etc. The instrument cluster will come with a nice resolution display, which will show all the required information in a way that is easy to the eye.KIA Cerato Interior

    KIA Cerato Engine & Transmission

    The KIA Cerato specifications in India will come with two engine options –1.6-litre petrol and 1.6-litre turbocharged diesel engines. It is believed that the car would be launched with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission for the Indian shores. There are also rumours that the upcoming Cerato will get the 1.6-litre engines from Hyundai Verna, but things are not clear yet.

    KIA Cerato Mileage

    The KIA Cerato mileage in the real world can be expected to be around 15-16 km/l for the petrol and 20-21 km/l for the diesel engines. This sedan will fairly have nice mileage; however, to comment upon the same wouldn’t be wise enough at the moment.

    KIA Cerato Braking and Safety

    KIA Cerato braking system will get a combination of disc and drum brakes, which are expected to perform exceptionally well. On the safety front, the car is expected to come with a range of active and passive safety features in the Indian market that comprise of ABS, EBD, six airbags, reverse parking camera, rear parking sensor, hill assist control, seat belts, central locking system, etc.

    The KIA Cerato performance would be offered with excellent driving dynamics, and a good balance between ride and handling. Both the petrol and diesel engines will have linear power delivery and excellent torque available throughout the rev range with good in-gear experience. The engines will be refined and there would almost never be lack of power when you need it. The gearbox will be very smooth to use and it will shift cogs with a decent pace. The steering will be light and nimble in city driving conditions, and while gaining speed, it will weigh up accurately for confidence inspiring driving. Cruising on the highway would be easy because the engine will offer peppy performance and overall, the car will be very sprightly to drive. Ground clearance would be adequate and the bottom will stay clear of the worst of bumps. Moreover, the advanced suspension system of KIA Cerato would not let pass on the effect of bad road conditions to the passengers inside the car.
