KIA Sorento Preview
Kia Sorento was one of the exhibits at the company’s pavilion at Auto Expo 2018. The displayed model was the mid-life facelift version launched in native and other markets just a few days before its Indian debut. While Kia will officially make its debut in India sometime in the next year with the launch of its first model, Sorento is likely to be rolled out in early 2020. As for the Kia Sorento price in India, expect it to fall in the range of Rs. 25 to 29 Lakh (ex-showroom).
KIA Sorento Exterior
The Kia Sorento exterior will get a bunch of changes over the preceding model. On the outside, the SUV Kia Sorento will feature a chrome-finished grille at the front, while the new top-of-the line GT Line variant will receive an additional fog light. Apart from this, the top-spec variant will also pack a chrome exhaust tip at the back and red brake calipers as standard provisions.
KIA Sorento Interior
The well laid-out Kia Sorento interiors will offer enough space for the occupants and pack in a host of comfort as well as connectivity features. That said, the Kia Sorento 2018 will come layered with a new 8.0-inch infotainment system with TomTom sat nav, supported by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It will additionally get a wireless phone charger and black leather seats.
KIA Sorento Engine & Transmission
While there is no information on the Kia Sorento specifications for the Indian market, the one sold in the international markets is available with a 2.4-litre petrol unit, a 2.0-litre oil burner and a 2.2-litre diesel unit. Apart from the eight-speed auto box, it can also be had in a six-speed manual as well as a six-speed auto unit. While the 2Wd version is standard, the 4WD variant is also available as optional.
KIA Sorento Mileage
The Kia Sorento international model offers a robust power output between 188 to 200 bhp. As for the Kia Sorento mileage, there is no clarity in terms of India-spec version, hence it is a bit too early to comment on that.
KIA Sorento Braking and Safety
Apart from multiple airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, expect the Kia Sorento features to include an advanced driver assistance system, blind spot detection, forward collision warning system, ESC, TCS, BAS, HAC and CBC, among several others.
KIA Sorento Performance and Handling
As the mechanical set-up for the India-spec model is yet unknown, it is a little difficult to comment on this front. Though, we promise to bring our readers the Kia Sorento review as soon as it will make its debut in the market.

Kia is bullish on the Indian market and has a couple of models in its kitty for India. Considering the popularity of premium SUVs in the market, Sorento seems to be a potential model that could help Kia set foot in India.
