KIA Soul EV Preview
Kia Motors is prepping for its India debut by 2020 and while the carmaker previewed a host of vehicles at the Auto Expo 2018, we can expect some of the models, (if not all) to launching the domestic market after it starts operations in India. The Kia Soul EV was also displayed amongst the other models and is primarily an electric version of the Soul crossover. While it is already available in the international markets, the Kia Soul EV price in India could be along the lines of the other EVs in the segment.
KIA Soul EV Exterior
It has a boxy silhouette and features Kia’s signature tiger nose grille in front which also houses the charging port. Additionally, the front sports upswept, wraparound dual-barrel projector headlamps. The rear is highlighted by a large privacy glass on the rear windshield and LED tail-lamps. Cladding on the body is in line with its crossover-ish looks. The Kia Soul EV images show it boxy semblance and rugged looks.
KIA Soul EV Interior
The insides of the Kia Soul EV have been well laid-out, though it looks elementary. The Kia Soul EV features a bunch of goodies, including a large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system which comes with connected car features and adds a modern touch to it. In addition, it also packs heated front seats, 2 zone climate control, heated steering wheel, automatic defog system, cruise control and start/stop button with smart key, etc.
KIA Soul EV Engine & Transmission
The Kia Soul EV gets an electric motor good for maximum power of 110bhp against top torque of 285Nm. This electric motor sends power to the front wheels through a single-speed automatic gearbox.

KIA Soul EV Braking and Safety
Along with a plethora of comfort and connectivity features, Kia has also stuffed a slew of safety tech. Features such as six airbags, anti-lock-braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, and brake assist, electronic stability program, vehicle stability management, tyre pressure monitoring system and hill star assist are expected to be offered with the crossover.
KIA Soul EV Performance and Handling
The Kia Soul EV is unlikely to disappoint you when it comes to performance. The EV is claimed to offer an impressive range of up to 250km on a single charge. While the top-speed is pegged at 145km/h all thanks to the 30kWh Li-polymer battery.
