The 2020 upcoming Lexus UX is the automotive brand’s first attempt to step into the small segment of SUV crossover. The dramatic styling of the upcoming UX sports will compel the consumers to pick the sides, via the same themes which the other vehicle of Lexus have been put forward for a few years.

Lexus UX Exterior

Talking of the exteriors, the massive spindle grille in the front, the front-end dewlaps, and the finned taillamps altogether cut a unique direction via the air. A path which we think will compel for some amount of time. The offset dash and choices in the dashboard step intelligently into a glamorous array. The LED headlights, the delicate fins and the tail light garner a powerful reaction. The optional F Sports package will come with an added body kit along with a refreshed bumper in the front and rear, badges, fog lamps, unique 18-inch wheels, and a mesh grille.

Lexus UX Interior

Talking of interiors, the 2020 Lexus UX has well-gripped front seats and six-footer-ready at the rear seats. The rear seats of the SUV can be folded down. The driver will be able to watch a 7.0-inch measuring TFT screen with ancillary gauges, large speedometer and an information screen present on the F Sport where the cluster will grow up to 8.0 inches. Evident on the central stack, there will be a piano-styled key meant for the climate controlling which will sit underneath the infotainment system measuring 10.3 inches where navigation will fit. Other basic and available features comprise of premium audio, a sunroof, Apple CarPlay connectivity and in-car Alexa service which can bring the driving along with shopping altogether under a metal sheet roof. The base audio system will be a 6-speaker system integrated with Bluetooth and USB ports while the optional sound system will feature 8 speakers.

Lexus UX Engine & Transmission

Lexus comprises of variants like UX200 which is front-wheel drive and is capable of producing 168bhp and UX250h hybrid AWD which utilising an electric motor to render all-wheel traction and generously produces 176bhp of max power. The Lexus is able to transfer power to its front wheels via a CVT (Continously variable transmission).

Lexus UX Mileage

The mileage of the Lexus UX can be around 12kmpl to 14kmpl.

Lexus UX Braking and Safety

The upcoming Lexus UX safety features comprise automatic high beams, forward-collision warnings with automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. Additionally, it will also host road-sign recognition and active lane control. A heads-up display along with details from the park assist, the navigation and blind-spot monitors will come as an option.

Lexus UX Performance and Handling

Talking of performance, the upcoming UX200 will cruise from 0-100 kmph within a matter of 8.9 seconds and will be driven at a top speed of 189 kmph as per Lexus. It will be a fair and a piece of entertainment in urban areas with a decent and a superb steer manoeuvring. By the help of Normal, Eco and sport driving modes, the UX will modify the throttle mapping as well as the steering weight. Whereas the UX F Sport model equipped with paddle shifters will allow the drivers to flip via the simulated gear ratios. The F Sports will also receive stabilizer bars and stiffer springs for a generous sense of control.

What do we think about Lexus UX?

The upcoming Lexus UX will give a cut-throat competition to all the other rivals catering to this segment with the kind of innovative features, engine performance, safety and the design cues.
