By: Sunny on 19 june 2014
With Mahindra Bolero claimed mileage is around 13.7kmpl.but in actual driving conditions average of 12kmpl can be reliable. As number of people that can travel is more and also reliablity in all road conditions makes it quite acceptable.

The base level trims of Mahindra Bolero are equipped with a 2.5-litre DI diesel engine that has direct fuel injection technology. This engine has the ability to produce a mileage in the range of 8 to 11 Kmpl. While the mid and upper level trims of this model are equipped with an advanced m2DiCR, 2523cc engine that has common rail direct injection system. This mill helps the vehicle to produce a minimum mileage of 10 kmpl in the city and produces 13 kmpl on highways.
The mileage of the Mahindra Bolero isn’t one of its strongest points but neither is its weakest. Having a diesel engine, makes the Bolero’s expenditures for fuel a bit less but the mileage does add a bit more to running costs. The Bolero is a pretty heavy and sturdy utility vehicle, which somehow also puts pressure on the fuel capacity. Mahindra quotes an approximate mileage of 16kmpl on average for all the Bolero diesel variants under ideal conditions, but under real conditions, users mostly get a combined average of around 13.5-14.5kmpl in mileage. Mileage stays decent with regularly scheduled maintenance.
