Both Bolero and Tata Sumo have resputation of best of performance and reliability. Tata Sumo Gold has higher reputation with better mileage figures and spacious interiors. The huge presence of Tata Sumo as taxi itself is indication of success rate of the same. However Bolero is also good in performance but you would find mostof them in rural areas, higher variants are found maximum in urban city. Its a perfect tailor made kind of vehicle for rural area and own usage. To select one, If you are aiming for using for own purpose then Bolero is ideal selection.

Both Tata Sumo Gold and Mahindra Bolero have some advantages and disadvantages, if we compare engine Tata Sumo Gold has more powerful 3.0 Litre diesel engine with deliver 83.8BHP power on the other hand Mahindra Bolero has 2.5L engine which deliver only 63BHP power. Interiors of Tata Sumo are more comfortable than Bolero, but Bolero’s sturdy body and chasis makes it good for rough terrain. Also, maintenance cost of Bolero is much cheaper than Sumo Gold and resale value is much better than Sumo Gold.
Bolero and Sumo Gold, both are the iconic SUVs in the Indian market and has made their presence felt. Sumo Gold is more spacious and has a bigger 3.0L engine and produces more power and torque but its gearbox and drive quality is not at par with nowadays. Whereas the Bolero though having a smaller engine never feels underpowered and delivers well on highways as well as off roads. The drive quality is smooth and refined and it also offers various contemporary features.
