Not only is the Bolero best selling SUV in the Indian market, it is also the only SUV to list consistently in the top 10 car list in 2014 every month. Bolero comes from the house of Mahindra and Mahindra who have a long standing history of making commercial vehicles and hence they specialize in making good utility vehicles. Bolero comes at a price range where less brands can offer a proper SUV. While a proper 4*4 SUV comes at a price upwards of Rs 15 lakh, Mahindra offers it half the price. Another aspect is its built quality, which by any standard is built like a tank.

India is a place where recently many new automotive manufacture hits the market and most competing with each other to provide reasonable and affordable vehicles. Also the Mahindra Bolero, the Mahindra has proved that they can provide a reasonable SUV which owns decent price tag and good performance. According to me most of Indian buyers are attracting towards Mahindra Bolero because of fuel economy and low maintenance where comfort is acceptable and best part is the price tag of this SUV which is very much reasonable.
There are many reasons which contribute to its number one position in this segment. First of all it outprices its every competitors. A 4x4 SUV in the Indian market starts from 20 lakhs. The closest models are Scorpio and XUV500 which are a class apart in themselves. Thus the low price and its sturdy make makes it the best combination. It also offers a variety of features, digital instrument cluster and a quiet comfortable cabin for 7.
