Mahindra E-KUV100 Preview

Mahindra is working on an electric version of its model KUV100, widely known as E-KUV100, which is expecting to release in 2020 in the Indian automobile industry.
The upcoming Mahindra E-KUV100 was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2018. That time it was equipped with a 41 bhp engine and a lithium-ion battery. Though, the upcoming model is likely to receive an upgraded engine along with a better battery pack at the launching event. It will also have a fast charging feature as optional, which will charge up to 80 percent of the battery within an hour. Mahindra is also making efforts to develop highly effective electric powertrains, which will be able to produce a power output of 120 bhp to 204 bhp. Moreover, Mahindra Electric is simultaneously progressing on the high-density batteries. We can expect the electric KUV100 to offer a mileage 350 km range under the testing cycle of the EPA. This model will have the potential to achieve a top speed of 186 kmph and can cruise from a standstill to 100 kmph within a matter of just 9 seconds. We can expect the upcoming E-KUV100 to be equipped with numerous connectivity features, like cabin pre-cooling, remote diagnostics, location tracking and smartphone connectivity. Alike the concept version, the production-spec is likely to receive a feature that could track the driving style of the driver.
