By: Aman on 8 april 2016
Mahindra KUV100 is available in both petrol and diesel versions, both are powered by 1198cc engine, and mated to 5 speed transmission gears but petrol engine discharges maximum power of 61 kW (82 bhp) @ 5500 rpm and maximum torque of 115 Nm @ 3500 rpm while diesel engine discharge maximum power of 57.4 kW (77 bhp) @ 3750 rpm and maximum torque of 190 Nm @ 1750 rpm, claimed mileage of petrol model is around 18 kmpl while of diesel is around 25 kmpl.
As per user reviews power delivery in both the models is smooth but diesel model sounds and feels more refined and has a good amount of pulling power from low end torque and offers good derivability even in city type stop and go traffic. After sales service of Mahindra is also very good, Mahindra has a wide service network and spare parts price is also quite reasonable.
