The engine capacity of any car is an amalgamation of few essential features. Among them include factors like the fuel tank capacity, power, torque, etc. No if these factors of Mahindra Quanto is considered then it will be found that the car has 1.5-litre 100bhp 12V mCR100 Diesel Engine with 1493 cc engine displacement, maximum power of 100bhp@3750 rpm and maximum torque of 100bhp@3750 rpm. Further, the car features manual transmission, has full fuel tank capacity of 55 kilolitres, and the overall mileage is 13.8 kilometers per liter within the city and 17.21 kilometers per liter in the highways.
Mahindra Quanto which is a rear chopped version of Mahindra Xylo having the same engine as of Xylo and specifications are also the same. It is an underpowered CUV, having 1493cc 1.5L mCR100 CRDi powered common rail engine. It generates 98.98 PS power and 240 Nm torque. The vehicle engine is coupled with 5-speed manual transmission. The car is rear wheel driven and 4-cylinder Rack and pinion type gear. The performance is also ok type only don’t expect a powerful drive with 1.5L engine.
Mahindra Quanto is an Endeavour of making a compact CUV out of its descendent Xylo with the similar engine. I am agreeing with the above statement and having a Quanto with me. It has good mileage all thanks to the 1.5L engine; it gives a mileage of 17 Km per liter. It has a 1498cc cRDI diesel engine with 99 PS power and 240Nm torque which is not bad coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. I like the vehicle but the only concern is its underperformance in terms of pick up and speed.
I don’t agree with the comments at all, The Quanto is scrap from Mahindra; the way it has been failed I am not getting afraid to take it to longer distances. The engine has been pathetic so far at least for me. I have got three times engine failure on this vehicle and that incurred a lot of hassle and problems to me. I am not taking it anywhere and trying to sell it ASAP. The exterior and Interior is not so bad but Mahindra should work on its stupid dashboards on all its vehicles.
I am not agree with the above negative engine review by my friend. I have using the Quanto from years and it’s fabulous. The vehicle is powered by just a 1.5L engine so we cannot expect great speed and mileage out of it, as far as engine is concerned it is good, Mahindra engines are not bad in quality may be the engine our friend have, might be having some issues so he can address it to service center they will look around it. I am happy the way it is and doing well for me overall. The mileage part I like the most.
