Shobha's review on Mahindra Quanto (2012-2016) C2
Year of Manufacture : 2012 | Driven no. of Kms. : NA
- Pros: Powerful Engine, Driving Comfort, Width & Shoulder Room, Robust Built
- Cons: No rear A/C vents, Expensive considering that effectively it\'s a five seater
Engine looks great on the prospectus. The engine is really smooth and does not make a typical 'Diesel Engine' noise. I was disappointed as it gave me a lag in the 2nd gear. Considering that it's top torque between 1700-2900 rpm, it should not happen. Every time I slowed down and tried to reverse in the second gear it gave me a lag. So much so that the showroom person accompanying, couple of times felt that, by mistake, I am trying to pick vehicle up in 4th gear instead of first gear. Once above 2,000 rpm the engine exuberant it's power and the car shot like a bullet speed. Claimed fuel economy is 17.2 kmpl. Will have to tiil wait real on-road mileage is known. Gears are not at all smooth and as I said earlier the gear leaver is little too long. They could have made the gearbox much smoother than what they have install in this car.The car is great power for it's capacity Buy this car as a five seater with loads of boot space and you will get more than you can expect from a hatchback.
