Mahindra XUV300 EV Preview

Mahindra is preparing to enter the electric vehicle market in India by launching the Mahindra XUV300 EV. According to Mahindra's managing director, the electric SUV will be available in two variants. The lower variant will be aimed towards the daily commuters and the upper variant will come with extended range battery. Mahindra has been testing the XUV300 EV extensively and is calling as S210 internally. Mahindra XUV300 EV may also come with DC fast charging chargers. The exterior looks of the EV will remain the same as the XUV300 while the interior may feature some differences like a missing gear stick. At the front, there may be an LED headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lamps. The side profile will come with diamond-cut alloy wheels while the rear will get a skid plate and LED taillamps. Mahindra XUV300 EV is expected to be powered by a front-wheel-drive electric motor that will charge through a Lithium-ion battery pack. The battery pack is being co-developed by LG Chem which is a Korea based manufacturer. Currently, the only competitor that the Mahindra XUV300 EV will face is Hyundai Kona Electric.
Mahindra XUV300 EV price is expected to start from around Rs. 10 Lakhs. Mahindra XUV300 EV peak power output is expected to be around 132PS from the 40kWh Lithium-ion battery. Mahindra XUV300 EV range is expected to be around 300km for the extended range version and 200km for the standard variant.
