Mahindra XUV400 Preview

Mahindra's XUV300 was really appreciated in the market for the features that are offered and the power that their engines produced. Mahindra is now testing a 7-seater model of the XUV300 which is based on the Ssangyong Tivoli XLV. The test mule was spied wearing heavy camouflage with fake headlamps and turn indicators and maybe known as XUV400. By looking at the image of the test mule we can expect that the front of the SUV will feature the 7-slat grille of Mahindra which we have seen on every car that Mahindra has produced. The XUV400 looks like a mini version of the XUV500 instead looking like a stretched version of XUV300. Mahindra will give projector or an LED headlamp setup to the XUV400 with Daytime-Running Lamps. The side profile consists of wide and tall tires along with the roof rails to enhance the SUV appeal of the vehicle. The rear of the XUV400 may come with cladding and straight creases. Mahindra XUV400 specs may include an all-new turbo petrol engine which will be carried forward to the Marazzo in the future. However, the diesel engine will be derived from the Marazzo and the 1.5-litre engine may produce around 121bhp of max power and a peak torque output of around 300Nm. Both of the engines will be BS-6 emission norms compliant. The engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission. Once launched the Mahindra XUV400 will be competing with Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur and Nissan Terrano.
