Maruti Alto800 makes a sound when one accelerates the car. How to reduce this?

The sound which you are referring to is the engine noise due to the rpm increasing. Rpm basically means rotations per minute. So, when you are accelerating, the number of rotations of the crankshaft, reciprocating motion of the piston rods increases leading to an increase in noise. The only way to ensure that this noise does not increase in the future is to keep getting your vehicle serviced from time to time as per your manual from an authorized Maruti service station. There is nothing to worry or be afraid of about this noise as it is present in every vehicle. It may be less or more in each vehicle, but it is present.
