What is the comparison between Ford Figo Titanium diesel version and Maruti Suzuki 1.3 Delta (diesel), especially for somebody who travels long distances and enjoys speed?

Firstly, in terms of dimensions, Maruti Suzuki Baleno 1.3 Delta is definitely bigger than Ford Figo Titanium, both in length as well as width whereas the height is almost equal. Ford Figo has a slightly higher ground clearance as compared to the Baleno. Ford Figo Titanium 1.5 TDCi has a 1.5 litre TDCi diesel engine which has the capacity to generate 99bhp of power at 3750 rpm and a 215Nm of peak torque at 1750 rpm. This makes it more powerful than Baleno 1.3 Delta’s engine that produces 75 PS at 4000rpm and a peak torque of 190 Nm at 2000 revs. Figo also has a higher displacement capacity of 1495cc as compared to Baleno’s 1248cc.
However, for somebody who travels a lot, mileage is a big factor to be considered. Maruti Suzuki Baleno 1.3 Delta has a higher ARAI certified mileage of 27.39 kms per litre, whereas the mileage figure for Ford Figo Titanium diesel stands at 25.83 kmpl. I would also like to mention the difference in ride quality which is not very smooth for Maruti Suzuki Baleno, especially in the diesel version as there is noise. On the other hand, Ford Figo has a commendable ride quality with a good suspension.
In my opinion, Ford Figo Titanium diesel is better buy according to your choices and requirements. But, do keep in mind that Ford has limited service stations across the country which is quite the opposite for Maruti Suzuki, giving Baleno a greater edge in that department.
