First of all, the difference between the two begins at the price itself. Maruti Baleno Zeta petrol is priced at Rs. 6.31lakhs whereas the Alpha petrol is priced at Rs. 7.01lakhs. Maruti Baleno Zeta in its diesel version is priced at Rs. 7.41lakhs whereas the Alpha diesel stands at Rs. 8.11lakhs.
The tail lamps of both are the same but in terms of other features there are a few differences. Apart from the standard features, Zeta variants get leather wrapped telescopic steering wheel and a leather covered gear knob. Zeta gets automatic follow me home headlamps, alloy wheels, keyless entry, fog lamps at the front, height adjustable driver’s seat as well as push start button. Alpha on the other hand features all of the above and additionally it gets projector headlamps, reverse camera along with a SmartPlay infotainment system. In terms of engine however, the diesel Baleno is powered by a 1.3litre engine whereas the petrol variants are powered by 1.2litre engines. Both these variants use a manual transmission.
