Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been a great success on the Indian roads. It is offering a mileage of 27.39 kmpl in its diesel variant which is best in its class. The petrol variant offers a mileage of 21.4 kmpl.
When this car is compared with a vehicle like Maruti Swift, then the NVH levels are observed to be much lower. The engine on the Baleno however is a little towards the noisy side if you look at other options within the segment. This being said; the vehicle has a very smooth ride as well as soft ride nevertheless.
The braking and suspension of the vehicle are pretty much the same as to what Maruti offers across its vehicles. The suspension is the McPherson strut in the front and Torsion Beam in the rear whereas the frontal brakes are ventilated disc brakes and at the rear are drum brakes. There is no problem at all with the brakes and the vehicle can come to a standstill in almost no time.
This car is equipped with the ABS feature as well which ensures that the tyres do not lock when excessive pressure is used on the brake pedal and rather it tunes the wheels to offer a better friction such that they rolling and give the driver a better control of the vehicle even in extreme conditions.
