Maruti Baleno Alpha petrol can achieve 130kmph of top speed and can overtake the Swift ZDi on highways. Which is the better one out of the two?

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Alpha is powered by 1197cc petrol engine that can produce a maximum output of 62 bhp at 6000 rpm whereas the Swift ZDi is equipped with a 1248cc engine which can give a maximum power output of 74 bhp at 4000 rpm. The top speed of Baleno is 130 kmph but Swift is capable of crossing the 150kmph mark. So, as far as racing is concerned Swift will take the cake comfortably but of course it will depend upon the circuit, road conditions, traffic, driver etc.
When one has to choose between these two vehicles then in my opinion one should go in for the Maruti Suzuki Baleno as it has a sporty and stylish new look along with a lot of features like day time running lights etc. which are currently not available in the Swift. Some other features offered by Baleno are keyless entry, reverse camera, electronic internal anti-glare mirror, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, driver armrest, Rear cup holders, projector headlamps, follow me home lamps, LED tail lamps etc. Apart from that the instrumentation system on Baleno is much advanced as well. It displays the average speed, gear indicator, fuel consumption, GPS navigation as well as voice command features.
Also, Swift has been running on the Indian roads for more than 10 years now and is becoming out dated slowly. Baleno however is new and its reviews are also pretty good. In terms of mileage the petrol Baleno lags behind the diesel Swift with a mileage of 21.4 kmpl whereas the Swift ZDi offers a mileage of 25 kmpl. This being said, Swift is a much loved car and Baleno is on its way to become one too.
