Does a car really need Teflon coating because dealers these days are really pushing for one to get Teflon coating and anti-rust coatings on the new vehicle? The cost for these is around Rs. 5000, so is it really required? Does a new car really need these protective measures? Also, if this is a fact then why aren’t car manufacturers providing these in the new cars?

Well Teflon coating is the best option if you live in a place with high humidity as it protects your car from rust and environmental damages. But if you live in a dry place, there is no need for it.
In my opinion, a manufacturer does not provide this because it is not necessary for every car to have Teflon coating as this is only useful if you live in a humid place or else it is not a necessity. So, it does not make any sense to hike the price of manufacturing.
