Congratulation on your decision to buy your first car, but the answer lies with what you expect, I would advise you to go for Baleno 1.2 petrol which has better performance & maintenance, it is one of the best car in its range and has good look and safety features, even in the base model Baleno has safety features like ABS, EBD, dual airbags for driver and co-driver.
Both cars are powered by 1.2 liter engine Figo’s engine churns out maximum power & torque of 87 bhp @ 6300 rpm and 112 Nm @ 4000 rpm respectively compare to Baleno’s 83 bhp @ 6000 rpm and 115 Nm @ 4000 rpm respectively, so both has almost same power & torque figures, Baleno produce better response at low rpm as well as on high rpm and it is comparatively lighter than Figo which helps it to deliver better fuel efficiency, the claimed mileage of Baleno is 21.4 kmpl compare to 18.1 of Figo.
Baleno is more feature rich than Figo and has wider wheelbase which helps in better stability. Boot space in Baleno 339 liters compare to 257 liters of Figo. Maruti Suzuki has better service network and cheaper spare parts and moreover has better resale value than Ford.
This is all my personal opinion; I advise you to test drive both cars and decide on your need & priority which car is better for you.
