Is the maintenance cost for Maruti Ciaz automatic quite high? Also, is the 4 speed gearbox of the Ciaz good enough and should I expect any lag while driving the automatic variant of this sedan?

A Maruti car does not ask you to spend a lot of extra money on maintenance. Ciaz is a mid-sized sedan and its maintenance cost after 10,000kms or so should be around Rs. 4,200 to Rs. 5,000 approximately only. So you shouldn’t worry about it at all.
Now coming to the 4 speed automatic gearbox of Ciaz; the transmission on this vehicle is pretty impressive and you won’t have much to complaint. Yes at times you might feel the turbo lag especially at higher gears but the power unit is extremely refined.
