- Pros: Body styling leaves a great impression, interiors quality is too good and assure perfect comfort.
- Cons: Power not enough
Recently I took a teest drive of both petrol and diesel version of this car. In my view its nothing greater than a revised edition of SX4. Maruti Suzuki had tried all guns to make SX4 a great success. Somehow it did't succeed as much as Swift Dzire. With tough competition from other cars like Nissan Sunny and Renault Scala, Maruti Suzuki design engineers have finally come up with idea of changing the design to maximum extent. The result is a impressive design of Ciaz. There is considerable change in image created by this as compared to SX4. There is improvement in all parameters including mileage figures. However the engine remains same. I feel the petrol engine still lags in terms of pulling power. For the overall weight of car, expected usage and all a power of over 100PS would have made it a excellent option. In my analysis, in this version also diesel variant would outperform petrol variants in sales figures.
